The basics
A tropical mashup of Greek and Moroccan architecture on one of Anguilla’s most spectacular beaches, Cap Juluca has been a go-to spot for jet-setty types for 20 years. And yet it still feels as fresh and surprising as when it opened, with a staff other resorts would kill for.
Wedding details
Cap Juluca hosts some of the sexiest oceanside weddings in the Caribbean. Chefs grill lobster; tiki torches flare; guests dig their toes in the sand. For brides who insist on wearing shoes, there’s a dedicated wedding lawn with outstanding views of St. Martin; otherwise you could do a poolside ceremony, take over a restaurant, or invite everybody into one of the private villas. It would be hard to find a more reliable wedding coordinator than the resort’s own Verna Rogers—with her on your team, you can honestly enjoy a vacation before the vows.
One more thing
Think twice before flying in your own photographer; Anguilla has some of the better talents in the islands, and as long as you don’t expect to see your portraits in a musuem, you can save considerable money by going local. Verna can steer you in the right direction.
