There are at least half a dozen Segway tour companies in San Diego; it’s a great way to see the sights and build a little team spirit—and anyone with a decent sense of balance can become a master with five minutes of parking lot practice. Build a Castle
San Diego San Castles teaches you the art of sculpting in sand—and it really is an art. The perfect activity for a multi-generational group; don’t forget the sunscreen. (Want a sand sculpture as a wedding backdrop? They’ll do that too.)
House of Hints
If your gang is more into brain power than motor skills, head to House of Hints, a live escape game where you’ll be locked into a room for the ultimate brain teaser. After cracking locks, breaking codes, and uncovering clues, you’ll finally “escape”—you hope. (They’ll bring in a caterer if you want to take the entire wedding party.)

California may be famous for its wines, but the San Diego area is the nation’s capital of craft beers—there are over 70 breweries in the county. San Diego Brewery & Beer Tours will put together a custom five-hour excursion that stops at three breweries (quirky Stumblefoot Brewing is a must) and gives guests a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing process.
