Hawaiian Airlines’ Wedding Wings program is making it easy for couples planning a
destination wedding to consider Hawaii.
Program perks include a ten percent discount on your round-trip wedding fares if you book
the flight through Hawaiian Airlines, as well as five percent off for your guests. And –
here’s where it’s good to have lots of friends – if 25 guests take advantage of the discount,
you qualify for a complimentary one-way upgrade to first class, which is not a bad way to
kick off happily ever after.
“Hawaii is the most magical place to tie the knot and our Wedding Wings program helps make
it a reality,” said Avi Mannis, Hawaiian’s vice president of marketing. “We designed the
program to be in tune with the needs of busy couples, and make it much easier – and even fun
– for them to stay connected with family and friends in planning their big day in Hawai.”
You need to be a member of HawaiianMiles in order to sign up for Wedding Wings, but both
programs are free and easy to use. And once you do sign up, the benefits, beyond the
discount airfares, will go a long way toward easing the stress of your destination wedding
planning. They include keeping guests in the loop with your own secure travel portal that
allows you to personalize with your own messages and photos, uploading your guest and email
lists directly with discount code invitations, and inviting them, tracking them, and
coordinating their bookings. You can even arrange for guests to be greeted with a fresh
flower lei when they arrive in the land of aloha.
Hawaiian Airlines currently serves 21 major cities around the world to and from Honolulu
and, by mid-summer, they will have added three more to their resume: Auckland, New Zealand
on March 13; Sendai, Japan on June 25; and Taipei, Taiwan on July 9. – Brittny Drye
