Far from the hubbub of San Juan, the Horned Dorset Primavera is a posh seaside boutique hotel that largely flies under the radar. And yet it has it all: gorgeous rooms, impeccable service, and sublime privacy. While the Relais & Chateaux pedigree is well deserved, this level of elegance doesn’t come cheap.

There’s a fine, fancy restaurant with French doors that open to one of the Caribbean’s most romantic balconies–you couldn’t find a better reception site. Because the hotel is so small, couples tend to do buy-outs of the property. The American owners take great pride in finessing every detail.
Keep in mind
The beach is narrow, so look elsewhere if you’ve got a gang of unrepentant sun-worshipers–or if you insist on marrying with sand between your toes. There are minimal child-friendly activities, though nearby hotels offer good family options.
