Seven Canyons Sedona
Enchantment Resort, tucked in amid the red rock canyons of Sedona, Arizona, has a setting that few other hotels anywhere in the world can match for natural beauty. The area’s rust-red spires, buttes, and summits set against a clear blue sky attract carloads of tourists from around the world. And unlike most of Sedona’s inns and lodges, Enchantment is blissfully far from those carloads of tourists (town is about a 15-minute drive away).
Yet the resort never encouraged destination weddings. Just not enough room.
But that’s changed now that the resort’s parent company, the Enchantment Group, has taken over management of Seven Canyons, a dramatically sited private golf club just a few miles from the resort.The course itself is considered one of the best in America, yet its setting also makes it ideal for couples who want to get married against a dramatic backdrop.
If you’ve got a big crowd, the ceremony and reception can be held at the practice park (the driving range/putting area), where tents can be set up for 100 to 150 people. Or for a more intimate affair, there’s the range house, which can handle 30 to 40 guests for a seated down dinner. Both have views across the rolling green fairways to red rock walls beyond. (Make sure you time your ceremony and cocktail hour early enough in the afternoon to be able to savor the scenery; when the sun sets in this neck of the woods, it gets very dark, very fast.)

Unless you’re a member of the golf club, the only way you can have your wedding at Seven Canyons is to be a guest at Enchantment, and to have reserved a minimum of ten rooms, which shouldn’t be hard to do once guests get a preview of the surroundings.
