What could be more perfect than getting married beneath coconut palms on the beach of a Fijian island at one of the South Pacific’s most exclusive resorts? It might be not having to lug a wedding dress all that way. At Turtle Island, where the classic coming-of-age love story, Blue Lagoon, was filmed, the bride and groom can choose to dress in traditional Fijian wedding attire, which, we can tell you without giving anything away, includes lots of flowers. It will be an intimate affair, as the all-inclusive resort is full at 14 couples. And it will be an expensive one, as the short seaplane ride from Fiji’s international airport to Turtle Island alone is a real budget expander.
