As if you needed a reason to spend more time on Pinterest. Now, posting pictures to the website could win you a $25,000 destination wedding and honeymoon on the Riviera Nayrita, a long, jungle-backed stretch of Mexican beach just north of Puerto Vallarta.
From August 15 through September 15, all-inclusive Velas Resorts invites you to enter a contest they’re calling the “The Story of Us” (As Told by Our Friends). Here’s the gist: You create a “Story of Us” board, then ask friends to pin or repin images that illustrate key moments they’ve shared with you as a couple: a taco party in your kitchen, the funny-tragic cake he baked for your birthday, the day you adopted that adorable stray. Creativity is key—as are your networking skills (more about that later). Display enough of both and you could win the big prize, which includes all the pieces you need for a destination wedding for up to 15 guests (minus the ever-elusive airfare).
Among the goodies the winning couple will receive are a beach wedding at the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit resort, four days and three nights for the bride and groom in one of the compound’s luxury ocean-front Grand Class suite, and a three-night honeymoon at Casa Velas, an adults-only boutique hotel and ocean club in nearby Puerto Vallarta.
There’s a great second prize, too. A three-night honeymoon at Velas Vallarta, in a luxury ocean-view one bedroom.
