Jack Rogers Navajo sandals became an instant classic the day Jackie Kennedy stepped out in them in the Greek isles; so much so, that they were recently initiated into The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s prestigious Costume Institute.

This month the iconic brand launched a custom online shop, which is tremendous news for brides looking for fun, unexpected, and totally comfortable destination wedding footwear. (If we could afford it, we’d create a different sandal for each day of the whole wedding week!)

Once you visit the site, you’re asked to choose from 14 base colors and 14 whipstitch hues to make your own personalized pair of sandals. There are close to 200 color combos to choose from, so it’s a fair bet that nobody else will have them in their wedding pix.

I’m crazy about the look of the super-vibrant colors with a crisp white sundress. If you want to go the more classic bridal route, there’s a selection of metallics that are just as pretty and make a softer statement. And for those of you who spent months agonizing over your wedding colors, why not weave them into your sandal design? It’s a great way to remember your day.  –Sarah Leingang

Wow, that’s so nice. I’ve been searching for some “different” wedding shoes. If anyone needs any more ideas, I really like this website – http://www.theweddingshoes.com

I don’t think they have Jack Rogers but there are some good ones there.
