Table setup at Four Seasons Scottsdale Troon Lawn

The Troon Lawn offers the perfect Southwest desert backdrop

The Basics

“Spectacular setting” is a phrase that’s often tossed around when looking at destination wedding resorts in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. So many of them, with their Sonoran desert settings and mountain backdrops, are spectacular. But even given that, The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is a standout. The desert light alone, reflecting off of Pinnacle Peak, is reason enough to marry there.

Wedding Details

Everything about the resort is up to Four Seasons standards (including the price), so they can do everything necessary to help you stage a wedding for ten of your closest family and friends, or 500. You could pick about any nook or cranny of the 210-room resort and you’d have a beautiful ceremony or reception setting. Some 29 locations are officially designated as venues, but one of our favorites is the Troon Lawn, with its background of mountains and many-limbed saguaro cactus. About the only way you could feel more like you were in the desert southwest is if you were to get married on horseback.

Keep in Mind

After your guests have done the Scottsdale shopping and dining thing, encourage them to walk off any excess on nearby hiking trails. One of them, up Pinnacle Peak, has a short connector that begins right at the resort.
