The Basics
The JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa is a classic Arizona resort that has been around since 1936. On a mountain slope overlooking Paradise Valley, which is one of the more upscale Phoenix suburbs, it does not have quite the cachet it did back in the days when it was a favorite stay for visiting celebrities and politicians, but it remains one of the region’s outstanding destination wedding hotels. The original hotel, with adobe-brick casitas for 77 guests, has grown to 453 casitas, some with private pools, and all with a strong sense of the desert southwest. In 1968, it became Marriott’s first resort.
Wedding Details
Two of the resort’s outdoor venues, the North Garden, with its blooming flowers and mountain backdrops, and the Lakeview Inn, with its flowing waterfalls and fairway setting, are among Scottsdale favorites. For something more informal, consider a rehearsal dinner in the Mummy Mountain cowboy cookout. Or if you are planning an extravaganza, the Arizona Ballroom will let you host up to 1,200 guests.
Keep in Mind
As if you needed yet another reason, but if you hold your destination wedding at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa you’ll receive up to 150,000 Marriott Rewards points, which is enough for a six-night honeymoon stay at Marriotts around the world.
