One of the places that first drew the Eres bikini crowd to this sugar-sanded Caribbean island, Cap Juluca’s blend of Grecian domes and Moroccan minarets has always been a sexy backdrop for destination weddings. And now, after a gorgeous reno, its private villas and whitewashed rooms are wowing a whole new generation of romantics. Though we’re intrigued by “Eurobbean” cuisine (like a carpaccio trio of snapper, ahi, and salmon) and state-of-the-art electronics (free WiFi, Bose Wave stereos, 40-inch high-def screens), it’s still Cap Juluca’s beach, a milk-white beauty along Maundays Bay, that puts it at the top of our dream list. (That, and the resort’s virtuoso wedding planner, Verna Rogers.) Receptions here tend to be of the grilled-lobster-and-tiki-torch variety; here’s betting you abandon your shoes before you’ve finished your vows.
